Hudson Stinger Reverse Trike starting @ $19,500 (order now - in Oakley, Michigan, USA)
The Hudson Stinger is new for 2008. We can offer it with any brand cycle engine the customer would like up to 1400cc. For our basic model, we buy a brand new 650cc Suzuki V-Twin motorcycle and pull the front forks off. We mount the new motorcycle in the back of the trike assembly as the powertrain, and extend the existing wiring and controls from the bike up to the cockpit. Using the Suzuki V-Twin versus a sportbike engine, we see approximately 60 mpg with this setup. It also gives us better low end torque, and a more relaxed ride.
The Stinger sells for $19,500 USD with a new 650cc motorcycle, and a soft top is included. It comes with a one year warranty on the trike components, plus the existing manufacturers warranty on the motorcycle. There is an optional reverse gearbox available. The trike was designed so it can easily be fully enclosed, but adding A/C and heat is not in the plans at this time. A new front end design is completed, and new pics will be added soon.
