About Us:
This Club site is dedicated to all Reverse Trike design motorcycles with two wheels in the front and one in the rear.
A front wheel drive design, or rear wheel drive trike doesn't matter; both designs have a good following these days. The goal of this site is to promote this unique reverse trike design to the general public as a viable means of regular transportation. I feel there are plenty of people that would opt to ride a trike of this style as their 'motorcycle' if they knew more about these trikes. I'm guessing that more motorcycle riders would likely buy one if they could take a test drive. Even among motorcyclists I've questioned, few are aware of the trikes available these days with 2 wheels in the front, At best, most are only aware of the Can-Am Spyder, and then maybe only because they've run into on at a gas station, or know someone who has a Spyder.
Of course, all of them know what a trike is, they just picture the typical 1-front, 2-rear wheel design. Although the definition of the word trike includes designs with 2 wheels in the front, we use the 'reverse trike' nomenclature to refer to this particular style of trike to reduce confusion. I think these 3-wheel designs will catch on soon enough with more riders, but I think it would help to actively market them at the bike rallies and so forth to make it happen faster. I also think there needs to be a clearinghouse if you will, for information related to this particular industry. I think this Club is well on its way to providing that service, and that's really what we're here to do.
I've taken note of the fact that when I recently lived in Houston, Texas, it seems there were about twice as many people riding bikes to work in 2008, as there were in 2007 for example. I also think there are a lot of people that would prefer a 3-wheeler, but don't feel comfortable on a traditional 2 rear wheel design. I think to sell these trikes, people are going to have to be able to see them up close, test drive them, compare the features with other modes of transportation, and that's what I want to promote here.
I want to get this Reverse Trike Club domain going as the focal point for providing information to potential customers for RT's. I'll add FAQ pages, Tech pages or Tech articles, and whatever is needed relative to addressing the different questions people will have about purchasing and maintaining these trikes. I'll start Member pages where owners can show off their trikes, and I'll model it around what I've done with my other motorcycle site at kz1300.com.
At kz1300.com, in less than 10 years time, I developed a very basic website into a domain that regularly pulls over 1,000,000 hits a month with no sponsors, and basically no paid advertising to support it! That's absolutely amazing when you consider almost everyone that comes to my KZ1300 site is basically interested in the info I have posted on that one style motorcycle. I can tell that from looking at my stats page on a regular basis. It also proves the point that content is king! Not fancy web pages, but what useful information do you actually have on your site that people want. If you provide the info they want, they'll come.
If there's going to be large scale acceptance of reverse trikes in the US, someone is going to have to be able to actively market various designs and provide a forum to address customer concerns. With this site I plan to do just that, and your thoughts, ideas and input is always appreciated. As a note, none of the companies or designs shown on this site are owned or operated by the Club Founder except for my personal RT design as shown, and I have no affiliation with any of the companies or products mentioned on this site. I also do not sale my member info or allow others to use it in any way shape or form. Please feel free to join the discussion group or send me an email: david@reversetrike.com
Disclaimer:
We don't recommend and we're not affiliated with any particular product or brand, or even suggest that anyone buy one of the vehicles shown on this site. That idea to purchase or ride one of these trikes is totally up to your discretion. This is a whole different product in relation to a regular motorcycle, and it's certainly not going to be suited to some riders tastes, or abilities. If you decide to buy a vehicle from any person or company listed on this site it's completely up to you to follow due diligence in your transaction. We're reporting the 'news' so to speak about these trikes, providing information to the best of our ability, and that's pretty much it. We don't have personal knowledge of any person or companies ability to make or deliver any products shown on this site. I'm merely posting secondhand information provided to me by other people for the most part whom I've never met or even talked to, except via email or the telephone. david@reversetrike.com
I'd love to accumulate more historical information for this site on RT designs. If you have pictures of a Reverse Trike you'd like to submit, or you are interested in purchasing one of the current trike designs and need help or more information, please contact the Club Founder:
